We are the East of England’s site for the Environmental Industries - covering a wide range of technologies and sectors with a common interest - Eco Innovation.

Eco Innovation reduces environmental impact through more efficient and sustainable use of energy and resources. Applications are wide-reaching - ranging from construction to industrial processes, from office environments to salt-marshes ! In fact everywhere where energy or materials are used, various types of Eco Innovation could be applied.

There are over 3000 companies and organisations in the 6 counties of the East of England (Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire & Essex) which belong to the “Environmental Industries”, as defined by BERR. Solutions include:

  • environmental monitoring & management

  • nuclear decommissioning

With the race on to achieve a low-carbon economy - with cuts in GHG emissions of 80% by 2050, all organisations can benefit by a focus on environmental technology to increase sales and reduce costs.
